FROM BRUSSELS TO PARIS
BUDDY BUDDY, a one-of-a-kind coffee shop concept, brings together specialty coffee and an array of nut butters. Renowned for its 100% plant-based offerings, it offers a unique experience with innovative beverages and delectable pastries. Originally established in Brussels and now expanding to Paris, BUDDY BUDDY is a celebration of premium ingredients and artisanal craftsmanship, reflecting the founders' unwavering commitment to exquisite taste and sustainable practices..
Our creative team was commissioned by BUDDY BUDDY to design a series of diptych posters to promote the grand opening of their new coffee shop in Paris. While we were granted complete creative freedom, we were tasked with staying true to BUDDY BUDDY's core values. We embarked on a creative journey to craft captivating designs that captured the warm and inviting ambiance of the coffee shop while embodying their brand values.
For this project, we developed a series of visually striking designs, including logos, illustrations, and diptych posters. These visuals were strategically divided into two phases: the first diptych announced BUDDY BUDDY's arrival in Paris, while the second diptych signaled the coffee shop's official opening.
Our creative choices were driven by the desire to break away from BUDDY BUDDY's usual visual identity temporarily. Matt and Julien, the owners, gave us complete creative freedom in terms of graphic style. After crafting a range of assets, we collaboratively selected the elements that would be featured in the campaign.
As is our custom, a portion of the project involved handcrafted elements that were later digitized to create layouts and production files.
The diptych posters, numbering over 1000 copies, were distributed throughout the streets of Paris in a guerrilla marketing campaign. BUDDY BUDDY's social media platforms also featured the developed visuals, garnering substantial engagement. The campaign even received recognition in the press, including mentions in specialized magazines such as Mint Magazine. Supplementary materials like flyers and a sandwich board further contributed to BUDDY BUDDY's increased visibility.
The successful opening of BUDDY BUDDY in Paris was marked by the impactful visuals we created. Furthermore, these visuals were repurposed for collaborations with other brands, including COMMON PARIS, and for merchandise production, reinforcing BUDDY BUDDY's presence in the market
