BUDDY BUDDY X OATLY POP-UP CAFÉ AT PRINTEMPS HAUSSMANN
In the summer of 2023, the collaboration between BUDDY BUDDY and Oatly aimed to create a distinctive pop-up café experience at Printemps Haussmann. The challenge was to fuse both brands into a cohesive identity that mirrored the sophistication of Paris. Inspired by the city’s elegance and the architectural ingenuity of Corto Corto, we crafted a visual language that was both fresh and reflective of each brand's character, using a more artistic approach.
Our artistic vision aimed to transcend conventional branding, embracing the luxury and elegance of Paris. We sought to create visuals that were not just marketing materials but artworks, marrying sophistication with the pop-up's setting. The emblem and posters, developed through an artistic lens, reflected this ethos, blending seamlessly with Paris's esteemed aesthetic landscape.
Faced with a tight one-month deadline, our challenge was harmonizing BUDDY BUDDY and Oatly’s distinct brands. Through hand-drawn illustrations and logos, we achieved a visually cohesive identity swiftly approved by both brands and Printemps. Production oversight for merchandise and custom coffee cups, amidst stringent deadlines, demonstrated our adaptability and commitment to quality.
A triptych poster series, designed for guerrilla marketing around Paris, played a crucial role in driving attention to the pop-up. This innovative approach not only increased visibility but also aligned with the artistic and elegant presentation of the campaign.
Additionally, the developed assets, including hand-painted illustrations and logos, were prominently featured within the pop-up café, enhancing the overall aesthetic. We also took charge of creating visuals for the storefront's reopening, ensuring every element of the campaign resonated with the brands' identities and the pop-up's unique atmosphere.
The pop-up's success was evident in the praise from BUDDY BUDDY, Oatly, Printemps Haussmann, and the public. The strategic location and design prompted extensive social media engagement, amplifying the café's visibility.
